Stopping climate change as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible requires that all communities – particularly those most vulnerable and least represented in the current dialogue – have a seat at the table and a role in implementing solutions. Drawdown Stories exists to pass the mic to diverse climate heroes often left out of the solutions conversation – Black people, Indigenous people, people of color, immigrants, blue-collar workers, and women. This program, led by Project Drawdown Director of Storytelling and Engagement Matt Scott, spreads awareness, shapes attitudes, and sparks action for the broader climate community, including educators and their students, as well as other future climate leaders, through the power of story.
Each of us has a climate story to tell. By passing the mic to underrepresented people working on the frontlines of climate change, we hope to share as many of these stories as possible while reshaping who society sees as climate heroes.

Drawdown’s Neighborhood
Do you want to discover your role in stopping catastrophic climate change? Drawdown’s Neighborhood, presented by Project Drawdown, is a series of short documentaries featuring the stories of climate heroes, city by city.
Join host and Project Drawdown Director of Storytelling and Engagement Matt Scott on a journey to “pass the mic” to climate heroes whose stories often go unheard, and inspire climate action in the process. Drawdown’s Neighborhood showcases the diverse community of people using climate solutions to help the world become a healthier, more sustainable place. Each story serves as a bridge between climate solutions and people like you looking to tap into their own superpowers to stop climate change.
Now Live! New Episodes
In mid-November 2023, Drawdown Stories launched Drawdown's Neighborhood: Tri-State which features 11 climate heroes from across the Tri-State area spanning New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Let’s Connect
One of the most important things you can do about climate change is talk about it! Having conversations with your classroom, corporation, or community group enables community members to explore climate solutions – and the power they have wherever they are. Invite Matt Scott and Drawdown Stories to present as part of a talk, workshop, or event to introduce your community to Project Drawdown and what they can do to help stop climate change.
