Our work has moved beyond describing solutions; we have created groundbreaking strategies for climate action, including focusing on “emergency brake” solutions, implemented in critical geographic “hot spots”, with multiple “benefit clusters”.

We have brought more attention to critical issues that were largely ignored, including the need to focus far more attention on food system emissions, “black carbon”, refrigerants, deforestation, and more.

We created new strategies for climate investing and philanthropy that greatly increase the impact of limited resources for funding climate solutions.

Working directly with corporate leaders, investors, philanthropists, policymakers, and others, we have helped shift billions of dollars toward more effective climate solutions around the world.

We helped rapidly accelerate global climate investment, especially in venture capital, by showing the world what was possible, and how it extended far beyond solar panels and wind turbines.

We are creating a broader vision for climate action, identifying powerful synergies between stopping climate change, halting biodiversity loss, and improving human wellbeing.

From the TED stage, international climate meetings, and Climate Week to top-tier media outlets and board rooms across the world, Project Drawdown continues to be a leading voice for science-based climate action.
